Charles Tillman will play for Chicago Bears against Houston Texas

Chicago Bears corner-back Charles ‘Peanut’ Tillman will play in Sunday nights game against the Houston Texans. With both teams currently 7-1 the contest should be entertaining and closely fought.

Tillman’s status for the game was uncertain since his wife, Jackie,  is pregnant. It does not appear that Jackie will give birth today and thus the fumble forcing corner is expected to play.

Tillman tweeted: “god, family, football… Baby is coming Monday don’t worry I’ll be there Sunday.”

Before that, Tillman told a radio station (via ESPN): “The wife is due any day, so hopefully this baby can stay in until after the game on Sunday. I hope she stays in — I’m having another girl. Monday, for sure, but if she comes Sunday, I think I’m going to have to be at the hospital Sunday. So, I hope she stays in until after Sunday.”

This season Tillman has forced seven fumbles and run two interceptions back for touchdowns. Tillman has recorded 43 tackles this season. The Bears expect to use him to cover Texans’ receiver Andre Johnson.

Wind may keep both teams from airing the ball out.
