Ryan Tannehill to start against Colts

Ryan Tannehill will quarterback for the Miami Dolphins when they play against the Indianapolis Colts later today. The Dolphins will have backup Matt Moore ready should Tannehill experience any problems. When Tannehill was injured last week Moore came into the game and was 11-for-19 with 131 yards and a touchdown last week against the New York Jets.

The issue with Tannehill’s knee appears to be “pain tolerance” according to Albert Breer. Tannehill will be watched closely during pregame warm-ups.

Miami is 4-3 this season. Today’s matchup against the Colts will provide fans with a chance to see two first round picks play against each other.

Tannehill has started all seven of Miami’s games. He has 4 touchdown passes to go with 6 interceptions and 1,472 yards. The injury will be one obstacle for Tannehill while the Colts pass defense will be another. The Colts 7th rank pass defense will look to take advantage of Tannehill.

Through his first seven games Andrew Luck, first overall pick, has 8 touchdown passes and 8 interceptions while throwing for 1,971  yards in his first season. Luck will look to fieast on a defense ranked 27th against the pass allowing 281 yards per game.
