Parker Kligerman wins first career race at Talladega, full results

Parker Kligerman, driver of the No.7 Toyota Tundra in the Camping World Truck Series for Red Horse Racing won for the first time in his NASCAR career today at Talladega Superspeedway.

Kligerman is 22 years old and the term “always the bridesmaid never the bride” would of suit him well, as he had five second place finishes prior to his win.

Kligerman got a push from Johnny Sauter as trucks were wrecking behind them on the final lap. Sauter finished in second place.

When Kligerman was interviewed he said, “We fought every single, possible fight you could fight today, We had a vibration. We had a battery going down. We had no alternator. Thank you Johnny Sauter. He made this possible.”

James Buescher finished third, right ahead of Ty Dillon who started on the pole.

Dillon entered the race with a one-point lead over Buescher in the points standings and was able to maintain that cushion. Four races still remain until one driver is awarded the championship.
