Mike Olsen to make cup debut Sunday

The No. 32 FAS Lane Ford will be driven by Mike Olsen this weekend at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. It will be Olsen’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series debut as he will drive a car owned by longtime friend Frank Stoddard.

The pair will become the first driver-owner tandem from New Hampshire to race in the Sprint Cup series when Olsen takes the wheel in tomorrow’s Sylvania 300.

Olsen, a 44-year-old who won championships in what is now the K&N Pro Series East tour in 2001 and 2006.

Stoddard decided to place Olsen in the car since it was safely locked into the race via owner points.

Earlier this year Stoddard received backlash when he attempted to field his car for John Wes Townley with their family sponsored Zaxby’s chicken on the car. Townley hit the wall in practice and then removed himself from the car. Jason White competed in that race at Pocono.
