Brett Griffin, former spotter for the No.31 of Jeff Burton was let go and replaced by Mike Dillion on Friday September 7, the day before the race at Richmond. Griffin announced today on Twitter that he has signed on with Michael Waltrip Racing and the No.15 Team of Clint Bowyer.
Clint Bowyer won Saturday nights race at Richmond International Speedway and is in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Chase, the first race of “The Chase” is this weekend at Chicagoland Speedway. Ty Norris was spotting for Bowyer, but is also the GM of MWR. It seems that the signing of Griffin is to relieve Norris of his spotting duties.
According to Twitter, Griffin is still spotting for the No.2 of Elliott Sadler in the Nationwide Series and will remain as his business manager.
