Parker Kligerman gets ride with Red Horse Racing in No. 7

Parker Kligerman will race next weekend at Michigan International Speedway. Despite being just 35 points back in the NASACAR Camping World Truck Serise (CWTS) points, Kligerman was recently released from his ride at Brad Keselowski Racing. (BKR)

Kligerman finished seventh in last Saturday’s Pocono Mountains 125 but parted ways with BKR after the race.

“Brad and I sat down after the race Saturday and talked,” said Kligerman. “There were no hard feelings, I think we both knew (a split) was imminent. At end of day, we just weren’t winning races. We were falling back on speed and the resources we needed to contend for the championship were simply not there. Brad couldn’t commit to getting those resources and Penske is not in a position to help us.”

Today it was announced that Kligerman had been signed to drive the No. 7 truck for Red Horse Racing. Red Horse Racing (RHR) fields two full time trucks for Timothy Peters and Todd Bodine and has fielded a third truck for John King at times this year.

“When you look at truck series teams right now, there’s no doubt Red Horse Racing is definitely one of the top organizations. I’m really excited to make the move here with the support of Tom DeLoach and everyone at this team to see how we can help the team and be successful. It sounds so cliché to say I’m excited, but it’s the only word to say because it perfectly describes what I’m looking forward to doing, and that’s winning in these trucks,” Kligerman explained.

In eleven truck series starts, Kligerman has finished inside the top five twice and has seven top ten finishes. Kligerman also finished inside the top ten in two of his three NNS starts.

Keselowski will drive the No. 29 trick when the CWTS visits Michigan.
