Todd Bodine, driver of the #11 Red Horse Racing Toyota will be making his 200th truck start this weekend at Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet, IL for the American Ethanol 225. As the sky gets dark and the lights come on the flag will be waved, and alongside it Todd Bodine will make history.
Bodine has 22 wins, 90 top fives and 121 top tens in his ten years of racing in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. Bodine has won two Craftman Truck Series championships, one in 2006 and the other in 2010.
Bodine’s truck starts are an accomplishment alone, but the real remarkable story is Todd Bodine will be the first driver to have over 200 starts in each of the three NASCAR touring series.
Bodine made 325 starts in the NASCAR Nationwide Series, where he had 15 wins and 90 top fives. In the Sprint Cup Series, Bodine started 241 races. He had no wins but did finish in the top five 7 times. Bodine’s accomplishments have earned him 20th in the NASCAR record book for starts, next to NASCAR greats such as Dale Earnhardt Sr., Richard Petty and Darrell Waltrip.
