Steve Wallace’s Nationwide plans revealed

Steve Wallace will make his return to NASCAR this weekend at Richmond International Raceway as he will drive the #4 car in the Nationwide race. Wallace has not raced thus far this season after his father, NASCAR champion Rusty, closed down his race team due to lack of sponsorship.

With help from JTG Daugherty Racing, the #4 car will be locked into the field. Todd Berrier will serve as crew chief and JTG Daugherty’s pit crew for their #47 Sprint Cup team will take on the same role for Wallace.

“I’m really excited to get back on the racetrack finally,” said Wallace. “We’ve worked very hard to make this happen.”

The plan is to run the car in 10 races this season with the hope of running the full 2013 schedule.
