The WWE has released former WWE Chmampion and WWE World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio.
In a statement announcing the release of Del Rio the WWE wrote “WWE announced the release of Alberto Del Rio due to unprofessional conduct and an altercation with an employee.”
Del Rio, 37, wrestled for a decade in Mexico and Japan wearing a mask under the name of Dos Caras Jr.
Recently the WWE had been using Del Rio as a mid-card wrestler winning sporadically but mainly used to push someone else over.
Rumors had persisted in recent months that Del Rio wanted to leave the WWE and return to Mexico at the end of his contract this year.
