An autopsy on the Ultimate Warrior confirmed that the former WWE wrestler died of heart disease.
Warrior passed out on Tuesday in Scottsdale, Arizona at a hotel while warlking with his wife Dana to their car. A day earlier he appeared on WWE Raw for the first time since 1996.
According to Maricopa County, Warrior, 54, died of “atherosclerotic/arteriosclerotic cardiovascular disease” and of natural causes. No drugs or alcohol were involved in his death. A full autopsy report is not expected to be released for several months.
Warrior, born James Hellwig, is survived by his wife and two daughters. Monday’s edition of WWE RAW will be broadcast in his honor.
