Jim Ross retires from WWE after 20 years of service

Jim Ross is retiring from the WWE. On Wednesday the commentator announced that he was retiring from the WWE after 20 years.

Ross was the unofficial voice the “Attitude Era” and called some of the most memorable matches in the history of the WWE. Ross made his WWE debut at WrestleMania IX in 1993 wearing a toga and later found himself inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2007.

Know on screen as a ring side commentator, Ross was also instrumental in heading up the talent department.

According to the WWE, Ross intends to focus on his personal business endeavors – his ever growing line of BBQ sauce and restaurants.
