Fans of the Chicago Blackhawks were holding their break after captain Jonathan Toews had to leave Sunday’s game against the Pittsburgh Penguins Sunday night with an upper-body injury.
Fortunately the injury to Toews does not appear to be serious with head coach Joel Quinnville calling him day-to-day. The Blackhawks will re-examile Toews on Monday.
Coach Q: Doesn't think it's too serious with regards to Toews' injury. Called him day-to-day, and will be reassessed tomorrow. #Blackhawks

Near the end of the second period Toews took control of the puck along the boards when Pittsburgh defenseman Brooks Orpik took him out. Toews was seen holding his arm as he headed towards the bench.
The Blackahwks are already with Patrick Kane (lower body) who will miss the rest of the regular season.
