This comes not long after the running back expressed hopes that the team would re-sign Matt Cassel instead of drafting a quarterback in the 2014 NFL Draft.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" lang=\"en\">\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MikeVick\">@MikeVick<\/a> would intently make the vikings a playoff team!<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Adrian Peterson (@AdrianPeterson) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/AdrianPeterson\/statuses\/441426864611930112\">March 6, 2014<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Peterson will be 29 when the season starts so it is understandable that he would prefer that the Vikings try and win now, rather than in the future. Of course Vick is no sure bet to stay healthy and has had mixed results the last two seasons when he did play.<\/p>\n<p>It is unclear whether the Vikings are seeking a free agent quarterback or if they will choose one in the draft.
