Marcus Lattimore was unable to get on the field in 2013 for the San Francisco 49ers but the running back believes he will be cleared for OTAs.<\/p>\n

Prior to his career at South Carolina being cut short when he tore three ligaments in his knee in October of 2012, Lattimore was widely considered the best running back in the country. Now after sitting out a year and rehabbing the 22-year-old is ready to prove the 49ers were wise to select him with their fourth round pick last season.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhatever role they want me to do, I\u2019m ready,\u201d Lattimore told ESPN<\/a> via phone interview. “The rehab is over.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cReally, the whole experience has been a blessing,\u201d Lattimore said. \u201cIt is making a good thing out of a bad thing.\u201d<\/p>\n

And Latimore said that his rehab has inspired others.<\/p>\n

\u201cI get so many emails from people who are recovering, whether it\u2019s from a knee or a shoulder surgery,\u201d Lattimore said. \u201cThey are just everyday people. If I can inspire them, I will. Again, it\u2019s making the best out of this situation.\u201d<\/p>\n

The return of Lattimore and an already deep depth chart is going to wreck havoc on the value of Frank Gore this season.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
