Charles Woodson accepted a one-year prove it deal from the Oakland Raiders last season. He responded by collecting his base salary plus $1.5 million in incentives.<\/p>\n

Now Woodson, 37, wants to be paid without having to prove it.<\/p>\n

While Woodson and the Raiders are expected to reach a one-year deal the structure of that deal is currently a sticking point as the two sides eye working together in 2014.<\/p>\n

As CSN Bay Area<\/a> notes Woodson was dependable. He played 99.3 percent of the Raiders\u2019 1,074 defensive snaps, ranked No. 2 on the team with 133 tackles and had two sacks, four forced fumbles and an interception.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen you get to that age, you never know when the tank\u2019s going to empty out,” head coach Dennis Allen said. “He brought a lot to the table for our football team this past season. He\u2019s a guy we\u2019d like to bring back. There\u2019s a business side to anything that you do, but I thought that, from a leadership perspective and from a playing perspective, I thought he brought a lot to the table.\u201d<\/p>\n
