As the season went on we were able to give him the ball a little bit more,&#8221; said Reid, via <a href=\"http:\/\/espn.go.com\/blog\/kansas-city-chiefs\/post\/_\/id\/4285\/more-davis-less-charles-is-a-good-idea\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">ESPN<\/a>. &#8220;Coming into this season, we\u2019ll be able to mix it up a little bit better than what we did early in the season last year.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>Charles averaged 21.9 touches last season so the Chiefs giving him a bit of a break is not necessarily a bad idea.<br \/>\nDavis has speed and at 227 pounds is bigger than Charles.<\/p>\n<p>Charles ran for 1,287 yards and 12 touchdowns last season.
