Robert Griffin, quarterback for the Washington Redskins probably receives hundreds of letters a week asking for all sorts of things, but one fan, decided to try something different and send Griffin an invitation to his wedding.<\/p>\n

Why did the fan send an invite to Griffin?<\/p>\n

\u201cI just thought it would be pretty cool,\u201d Curley, 30, told DC Sports Blog<\/a>. \u201cI thought there wasn\u2019t that much of a chance that I\u2019d get anything back, but I sent it anyways.\u201d<\/p>\n

Griffin ‘sadly declined’ the invitation, but wrote the couple a note that said, ‘Happy for you!!!,” and sent along an autographed card in replace of his presence at the wedding.<\/p>\n
