The deal should be finalized on Friday according to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.denverpost.com\/broncos\/ci_25080310\/jack-del-rio-retained-by-broncos-defensive-coordinator\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Denver Post<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">&#8220;Jack did a nice job with our defense,&#8221; said John Elway, the Broncos&#8217; executive vice president of football operations. &#8220;We had a lot of injuries on that defensive side and Jack did a good job holding that side together. Even in the Super Bowl, our defense kept us in the game in the first half.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Before joining the Broncos, Del Rio was the head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars.
