A portion of fans believe that this award is given to a injured player but that is not always the case.<\/p>\n<p>Rivers has returned to being a capable NFL quarterback after some had written him off as done. With a new coach in Mike McCoy, Rivers and the Chargers went all the way to the playoffs winning an opening round game.<\/p>\n<p>With Rivers having a turnaround Ken Whisenhunt earned a job as the head coach of the Tennessee Titans.
