For all of those who think Peyton Manning could retire following a Denver Broncos win in Super Bowl 48, forget it. The quarterback says that is not in his plans.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think when you still enjoy the preparation, the work part of it, I think you sought to be still doing that,\u201dManning told the Denver Post<\/a>.\u00a0\u201cWhen I stop enjoying it, when I can\u2019t produce, when I can\u2019t help the team that\u2019s when I\u2019ll stop playing. If that\u2019s next year, maybe it is. I certainly want to continue to keep playing.\u201d<\/p>\n

So much for those believing that Manning would follow the example set by John Elway.<\/p>\n

\u201cA number of players have walked away as champions,\u201d Manning said. \u201cI\u2019m sure that\u2019s a great feeling for those people. John Elway. Ray Lewis did it last year. Michael Strahan. Talking to Ray Lewis and talking to John Elway, they couldn\u2019t play any more (physically). That was all they had to give. They truly left it all out there.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
