Reports are circulating that Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo is done for the rest of the season with a herniated disk. Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett is telling reporters that no decision has been made.<\/p>\n

Romo and the Cowboys (8-7) rallied late to defeat the Washington Redskins in Week 16 to keep their playoff hopes alive. Now with a winner take all game against the Philadelphia Eagles for the NFC East title the quarterback will be forced to the sidelines.<\/p>\n

After Sunday’s game Romo acknowledged his back was hurt but seemed optimistic.<\/p>\n

“That triggered it a little bit,” Romo said Sunday. “Whatever the kid did on that one play, it really sent something that didn’t feel comfortable.<\/p>\n

“But it’s in a completely different spot than the back stuff I had last year, so that’s a good sign.”<\/p>\n

Cowboys QB Tony Romo has been ruled out the rest of the season due to his back injury, per league source.<\/p>\n

Romo completed 17 of 27 passes for 226 yards, including the game-winning touchdown to DeMarco Murray on fourth-and-goal from the Washington 10 with 1:08 to play.<\/p>\n
