New England Patriot’s TE Rob Gronkowski is done for the season with a torn right AC L and MCL.<\/p>\n

“Rob’s going to have some more tests today, but that situation doesn’t look too good. We’ll wait until we have a final evaluation to confirm or do anything,” Patriot’s coach Bill Belichick said Monday morning.<\/p>\n

Gronkowski suffered the injury in the third quarter of Sunday’s game against the\u00a0Cleveland Browns.\u00a0He was hauling a pass up from Tom Brady when he\u00a0took a direct hit to his right knee by Browns safety\u00a0T.J. Ward and fell to the ground. Gronkowski was carted off the field.<\/p>\n

Brady said Monday the Patriots’ formula at tight will now have to shift \u00a0with Gronkowski out for the remainder of the season.<\/p>\n

“It just shifts; you just have to find a different formula,” Brady told the “Dennis & Callahan Show” on WEEI sports radio in Boston when asked whether the team’s reserve tight ends are capable of doing what Gronkowski does. “I think that’s the important part.
