Adrian Peterson is still expected to play against the Carolina Panthers in Week 6. On Friday Peterson’s 2-year-old son died following an alleged attack by the boyfriend of the child’s mother earlier this week.<\/p>\n

Peterson’s status has not changed with a source telling ESPN<\/a>‘s Josina Anderson, “I don’t think it will change.”<\/p>\n

“There’s no doubt he’s going to play,” the source told Anderson. “It’s not going to happen where Adrian Peterson is not going to suit up for that game.”<\/p>\n

On Saturday Peterson asked fans to stop tweeting photos of his son Adrian Jr. saying that he lives with him and is fine.<\/p>\n

Joseph Robert Patterson, 27, has been charged with aggravated assault and aggravated assault on an infant following the attack.<\/p>\n
