Schilens fully supports Mark Sanchez as the team’s starter, saying \u201cMark\u2019s the QB.\u201d Schilens also believes the Jets were hurt by poor play on the offensive line.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe was under a lot of pressure, that\u2019s all I have to say,\u201d Schilens said, via Kimberley A. Martin of Newsday.<\/p>\n
The Jets trailed 20-0 at halftime and were outscored ten to nine in the second half.<\/p>\n
Sanchez was sacked four times and finished 28-for-54 with 283 yards, a touchdown, and an interception. His stat line is misleading as the majority of his stats came on two fourt quarter drives, including a touchdown to Schilens.<\/p>\n
Why did the Jets never turn to Tebow in Sunday’s game?<\/p>\n
\u201cI just never thought it was the time to do it. Mark\u2019s our QB,\u201d Coach Rex Ryan said after the game.<\/p>\n
Ryan still believes that Mark Sanchez gives them the best chance to win.<\/p>\n
“He had his moments. He looked good, just like the rest of the team,” Ryan said. “There were moments the team played really well, and then there were other moments not so much, so I’d say he played pretty much like the rest.”<\/p>\n
