Sources told the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.chicagotribune.com\/sports\/football\/bears\/chi-bears-lose-melton-to-injury-20130922,0,4648439.story\" target=\"_blank\">Chicago Tribune<\/a> that the Bears are worried that the near-300 pound Melton has a torn ACL. &#8212; Of course anyone watching the game likely had the same thought when the fifth year player went to the ground.<\/p>\n<p>Melton was injured in the fourth quarter of Sunday nights game against Pittsburgh. He was taken off the field on a cart and is expected to undergo an MRI on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>Regardless of the results of the MRI the Bears are expected to comb the free agent pool for options.<\/p>\n<p>Linebacker Lance Briggs expressed concern for the loss of Melton.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou can\u2019t replace a Henry Melton. He is an elite D-lineman. He will be missed. The next man has to step up and do his job.
