Of course the part that Ginn played was small as he contributed only on kick offs.<\/p>\n<p id=\"yui_3_7_2_1_1372427332743_3001\">The former first round pick is out to change that this season after signing with the Carolina Panthers.<\/p>\n<p id=\"yui_3_7_2_1_1372427332743_3004\">\u201cI want to show the world that I can still play receiver,\u201d Ginn said, via the <a id=\"yui_3_7_2_1_1372427332743_3003\" href=\"http:\/\/www.thecharlottepost.com\/index.php?src=news&amp;srctype=detail&amp;category=Sports&amp;refno=5724\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Charlotte Post<\/a>. \u201cI got kind of bashed over the years, being labeled a specialist.\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"yui_3_7_2_1_1372427332743_3006\">While with the Dolphins, Ginn was used as a receiver for three years catching 128 passes and five touchdowns. He also carried the ball on reverses scoring two touchdowns in 2008.<\/p>\n<p id=\"yui_3_7_2_1_1372427332743_3008\">Those numbers all crept down when he joined the 49ers and hit bottom in what Ginn described as &#8220;a tough season&#8221; in 2012.<\/p>\n<p id=\"yui_3_7_2_1_1372427332743_3010\">Ginn caught two passes last season for 1 yard and ran the ball just one time for 7. His kickoff and punt numbers were also lower.<\/p>\n<p id=\"yui_3_7_2_1_1372427332743_3012\">Currently the Panthers have Steve Smith and Brandon LaFell locked in as starters.
