A long time fixture in the Ravens defense the linebacker was injured in Sundays game against the Dallas Cowboys.<\/p>\n<p>An MRI confirmed Monday that Lewis and Ladarius Webb have been lost for the season.<\/p>\n<p>Ravens Coach John Harbaugh announced the diagnosis of a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.baltimoresun.com\/sports\/ravens\/bal-baltimore-ravens-linebacker-ray-lewis-is-out-for-the-season-with-triceps-tear-20121015,0,2598133.story\" target=\"_blank\">\u201cfull tear\u201d<\/a> of the triceps muscle during his Monday press conference.<\/p>\n<p>Former Ravens head coach Brian Billick told USA TODAY Sports the loss of Lewis is a &#8220;huge blow.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;You don&#8217;t take a Hall of Fame player like Ray Lewis out of the heart of the defense and say, &#8216;Okay we&#8217;re going to be fine,&#8217; &#8221; Billick said Monday.<\/p>\n<p>Baltimore is still without linebacker Terrell Suggs, who partially tore his Achilles\u2019 tendon in the preseason and remains on the PUP list.<\/p>\n<p>Lewis is a 17-year veteran and 13-time Pro Bowl selection. He was part of a Ravens team that won Super Bowl XXXV. Lewis had talked about retiring soon so he could watch his son play college level football.
