In order to sign Winston the Cowboys will need to find space under the salary cap.<\/p>\n<p>In order to sign Winston the Cowboys are set to ask Doug Free to take a pay cut <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RapSheet\/statuses\/321658166188335104\" target=\"_blank\">according<\/a> to Ian Rapoport.<\/p>\n<p>Free is set to make $7 million this year but it is far more likely that the Cowboys release him before the season starts. If Free were to accept a pay cut the Cowboys could keep him on the roster, but Winston would become the teams starter at right tackle moving Free to the bench.<\/p>\n<p>Free will choose whether he can make more money with a restructured deal in Dallas or the open market.
