Since retiring from the NFL, Marino has been a pregame analyst for CBS since 2003.<\/p>\n<p>Marino and Donna Savattere, a former production assistant, had a child together in 2005 according to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nypost.com\/p\/news\/national\/oh_danny_girl_love_child_bC0SHH481536QPjsXfyWyJ\" target=\"_blank\">NY Post<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>She gave birth to their daughter, Chloe, in June 2005.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey had an affair, and she had a baby,\u201d said a source. \u201cEverything was on the down-low and secretive.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Marino released the following statement yesterday.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2753 alignright\" alt=\"marinowoman\" src=\"http:\/\/tireball.com\/nfl\/files\/2013\/01\/marinowoman.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" srcset=\"http:\/\/tireball.com\/nfl\/files\/2013\/01\/marinowoman.jpg 640w, http:\/\/tireball.com\/nfl\/files\/2013\/01\/marinowoman-300x169.jpg 300w, http:\/\/tireball.com\/nfl\/files\/2013\/01\/marinowoman-50x28.jpg 50w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is a personal and private matter. I take full responsibility both personally and financially for my actions now as I did then,\u201d he told The Post in a written statement. \u201cWe mutually agreed to keep our arrangement private to protect all parties involved.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Marino is still married to his wife Claire and insists that their marriage is still intact.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy wife and I have been married for almost 30 years and have six children together,\u201d he wrote yesterday \u2014 which happened to be his 28th wedding anniversary.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd we continue to be a strong and loving family.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The New York Post is reporting that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nypost.com\/p\/news\/national\/oh_danny_girl_love_child_bC0SHH481536QPjsXfyWyJ\" target=\"_blank\">Dan Marino\u00a0 a love child<\/a> with a former CBS production assistant in 2005. He also paid her millions as part of a confidentiality agreement.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The married gridiron great \u2014 a pregame analyst for CBS since 2003 who will be doing this Sunday\u2019s Super Bowl broadcast \u2014 sired a love child with a network underling and then paid her millions to keep quiet, sources have exclusively told The Post.<\/p>\n<p>The ex-Miami Dolphin QB \u2014 who has long had an image as one of pro sports\u2019 most squeaky-clean guys \u2014 knocked up Donna Savattere, a then-35-year-old production assistant at CBS Sports\u2019 Manhattan studio.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Marino acknowledged what happened in a statement.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThis is a personal and private matter.
