Despite his three interceptions in a must-win game on Sunday night against Washington, the Dallas Cowboys still want to sign quarterback Tony Romo to a long-term contract extension.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have a great belief of Tony Romo as our quarterback,\u201d said head coach Jason Garrett, via the Dallas Morning News<\/a>.\u00a0 \u201cTony has won a lot of big games for us, too, to get us to the point where we can play for the division in Week 17 in consecutive years. We all know that we want to take the next step, and Tony is going to be a big part of that going forward.”<\/p>\n

Dallas has finished the last two seasons with 8-8 records. The last time the Cowboys made the playoffs was the 2009 season.<\/p>\n

“We\u2019re excited about him being our quarterback.\u201d said Garrett.<\/p>\n
