Days ago former offensive lineman Lomas Brown told ESPN Radio that he once allowed a defender to get past him so quarterback Scott Mitchell would be knocked out of the game. Brown went on to say that he did not like Mitchell.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday, Mitchell told the Dan Patrick Show that Brown’s actions were \u201creprehensible and said he was hurt by such an act.\u201d<\/p>\n

The comments by Brown came as the NFL has sought measures that would make the game safer for all of its players.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt just really hurt,\u201d Mitchell said. \u201cIt was extremely disappointing. I\u2019m really shocked by it, to be honest. Here\u2019s a guy I\u2019ve had in my house, I had a big dinner for the offensive linemen every year, he came to my house and ate dinner, I gave my offensive linemen gifts every year. For him to do that is just reprehensible, beyond words. It\u2019s really disappointing, it really is painful. When you mess with my family, mess with my livelihood, mess with my health, it\u2019s unacceptable. It\u2019s B.S. I just wouldn\u2019t do it to a teammate. I wouldn\u2019t do it. If Lomas has a problem with me, come talk to me. To try to get someone hurt, it\u2019s just mind-boggling.\u201d<\/p>\n
