The former Australian National Rugby League star last played in Week 6. The Hayne Plane was cut on Oct. 31 but signed with the teams&#8217; practice squad after clearing waivers.<\/p>\n<p>During his first stint with the 49ers, Hayne worked mainly on special teams. Hayne fumbled three times as a punt returning &#8211; including \u00a0his first attempt in Week 1.<\/p>\n<p>Hayne could take over punt return duties from Bruce Ellington.
