With a base salary of $10.5 million and $11 million in 2016 his prospects for a trade are slim. The Texans could save $8.25 million against the salary cap by simply cutting him. <\/p>\n<p>Once Johnson is axed the Texans will go with DeAndre Hopkins as their clear-cut No. 1 receiver.<\/p>\n<p>Johnson caught 85 passes for 936 yards and three touchdowns a season ago.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The marriage between Andre Johnson and the Houston Texans is expected to end this offseason.
