\nDespite nagging back injuries, the Dallas Cowboys believe quarterback Tony Romo has a five year window left.<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel very comfortable, to the main part of your question, with a five-year timeframe. I feel very comfortable with that,\u201d Jones said on Saturday morning. \u201cWhen I say comfortable: I\u2019m ready to make decisions based on him being our quarterback that far into the future.\u201d<\/p>\n

Romo is set to turn 35 in Apri and has undergone back surgeries in each of the past two seasons not to mention a broken back suffered in Week 8 of the 2014 season.<\/p>\n

Owed $17 million and counting $27.7 million against the salary cap the Cowboys are in a tough spot should Romo become injured.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not going to look into the crystal ball with you and tell you he\u2019s not going to have down days over the next five years \u2013 I can\u2019t do that,\u201d he said. \u201cBut I can tell you I\u2019m comfortable, and I\u2019m going to make decisions based on him being here.\u201d<\/p>\n
