In the wake of a suspension to Ray Rice the Ravens turned to Justin Forsett in the backfield.<\/p>\n

Forsett rewarded the Ravens by putting up a Pro Bowl season rushing for 1,266 yards while averaging 5.4 yards per carry, best in the NFL.<\/p>\n

Now the Ravens face a decision on the 29-year-old who is set to become a free agent.

\nForsett would like to return to the Ravens and apparently the team wants him back.<\/p>\n

“That is the plan, they gave me my shot, they trusted me and believed in me enough to give me that shot so I’d like to stay,” Forsett told Around The NFL.<\/p>\n

Despite the desire to bring Forsett back the Ravens have not had any formal discussions with him about a new contract.<\/p>\n

“They expressed that they want me back. I want to be back, so we’ll see what happens,” he said.<\/p>\n

With the Ravens losing offensive coordinator Gary Kubiak to the head coaching job with the Broncos, they now bring in Marc Trestman who has at-least said public that he wants to keep the teams current zone-blocking scheme.<\/p>\n

“I’m excited,” he said about Baltimore’s changes this offseason. “I’m no stranger to a new offensive coordinator. I think I’ve had one every year in my career. So I’m excited about what we can do as an offense.
