With E.J. Manuel and Jeff Tuel the only quarterbacks on the Bills roster new head coach Rex Ryan spoke to the teams official website saying the teams options were open including Sanchez who is set to become a free agent.<\/p>\n
\u201cCertainly, he\u2019ll be a guy under consideration,\u201d said Ryan. \u201cWe\u2019ll explore every avenue. If we think there\u2019s a free agent like Mark or somebody else out there that we think can help us, then we\u2019ll absolutely explore it. We\u2019ve briefly talked about some possibilities out there. We\u2019ll definitely look into anybody that we think can help us.\u201d<\/p>\n
Ryan tried not to throw Manuel under the bus praising the skills that Ryan scouted ahead of the 2013 NFL Draft.<\/p>\n
\u201cI know EJ is somebody that we looked at when he came out,\u201d said Ryan. \u201cI feel like he has a lot of traits that you look for in a quarterback. He\u2019s smart, he\u2019s dedicated. I think he has movement skills. I\u2019d like to see him use his legs more than he has. He\u2019ll certainly be given an opportunity here. That doesn\u2019t mean we are set at the quarterback position. We talked about how it\u2019s an evaluation process right now. We\u2019ll do whatever is in the best interest of the Buffalo Bills.\u201d<\/p>\n
