On Sunday they not only loss to the Panthers, they also lost rookie quarterback Johnny Manziel to a hamstring injury.<\/p>\n<p>Former starter Brian Hoyer took over for Manziel going 7 of 13 with a touchdown and an interception in place of Manziel.<\/p>\n<p>Panthers safety Colin Jones hit Manziel on a designed quarterback run. Manziel was able to get up but quickly went back down. After trainers looked at his hamstring he went to the sidelines and later the locker room.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;As I kept walking more and more, it just felt like something I hadn&#8217;t experienced before,&#8221; said Manziel after the game. &#8220;I figured I needed to get checked out. Pretty frustrating.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>More frustrating for the Browns is that a once promising season has went to waste and they still are unsure of what they have in the former Heisman winning quarterback.<\/p>\n<p>The Browns final game of the season is a road game against the Ravens.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After a strong start the Browns season has been derailed.
