On Wednesday night Dennis Pitta, his wife and young son dressed in Halloween costumes making fun of his current injured status. <\/p>\n

It has been five weeks since Dennis Pitta had a second surgery to repair a fractured hip. <\/p>\n

When or if the Ravens tight end returns to the football field remains in question. <\/p>\n

“In a few months, we’ll see how I’m feeling and how things are going, and we’ll be able to make some determinations then,” Pitta said via the Baltimore Sun<\/a>. <\/p>\n

The 29-year-old was given a five-year, $32.5 million contract with $16 million guaranteed in February. <\/p>\n

That contract came after Pitta missed the first 12 games of last season after undergoing his first surgery. <\/p>\n

\u201cWith an injury like this, I think there\u2019s always doubt and there\u2019s always uncertainty,\u201d Pitta said. \u201cThat was the case last year. I didn\u2019t know if I\u2019d be able to make the full recovery and get back on the field, and it\u2019ll be the same this time. It\u2019s a pretty serious injury, and something that takes time to heal and something that has to heal correctly in order to get back out there.
