That means that Colt McCoy should be under center on Monday night when the Redskins take on the Dallas Cowboys.<\/p>\n

During an appearance on SirusXM Radio, Redskins coach Jay Gruden was asked if Griffin would return after the teams bye week.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would think \u2014 I would guarantee Tampa, most likely, unless something happens between now and then,\u201d Gruden said. \u201cYou\u2019ve got a good bye week, you\u2019ve got a couple weeks to make sure it\u2019s ready. Obviously Robert is a quick healer. He works extremely hard in the training room. So the process could be sped up a little bit depending on how he feels.<\/p>\n

Asked how Griffin was progression as he works his way back from an ankle injury.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s progressing at a great rate, like we knew he would,\u201d Gruden said. \u201cEvery time he comes on the field he wants more. The big thing is after practice, the running he does, how he feels, is it sore, does it swell up on him?
