\nHouston Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson will not be attending the teams mandatory minicamp which runs Tuesday though Thursday according to his uncle and adviser Andre Melton. The news is not surprisingly as the receiver and team remain at odds.<\/p>\n

\u201cRight now, that\u2019s all that he can do,\u201d Melton said via the Houston Chronicle<\/a>. \u201cWe\u2019ve done what we can do, so we\u2019re just sitting there waiting.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAndre and Bill have a great relationship. That\u2019s just what it is,\u201d Melton said. \u201cAfter that, it\u2019s just a wait-and-see deal.\u201d<\/p>\n

Should Johnson skip minicamp he could be fined up to $69,455 and potentially lose a $1 million offseason workout bonus.<\/p>\n

The 32-year-old Johnson is the Texans highest paid player with a salary of $10 million. His contract runs though 2016 with a total value of $31.5 million remaining on it.<\/p>\n
