There are five tight ends taking part in OTAs for the San Francisco 49ers but none of them are named Vernon Davis.<\/p>\n

According to CSN Bay Area<\/a>, Mangini told the group that now was the time to impress because Davis could be out for “awhile.”<\/p>\n

The group is headed up by Vance McDonald who should serve as the No. 2 tight end once Davis returns.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s different,\u201d McDonald said about Davis. \u201cHe\u2019s goofy and goofing off, but when it comes to football he\u2019s always full-tilt. I miss the dude. I\u2019ll be honest. I miss the dude.\u201d<\/p>\n

Davis is two touchdowns from moving into fifth all-time for tight ends. He is unsure whether or not he will attend minicamp.<\/p>\n
