Desperate enough that they are taking a look at free agent options Brian Urlacher and Jonathan Vilma.<\/p>\n<p>According to ESPN&#8217;s Ed Werder the Cowboys would replace Lee with a two-player platoon.<\/p>\n<p>It has been a year since Urlacher retired after not being able to land a deal as a free agent. Now 36, Urlacher had been considered an option in Dallas a year ago but the team passed because of the presence of Lee. He has experience in Rod Marinelli&#8217;s defense but after sitting out a year it is hard to see him making a huge impact if signed.<\/p>\n<p>While Werder broke the news in the early morning hours he has since backed off his statement a bit deeming the Cowboys interest as &#8220;not serious.&#8221;<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" lang=\"en\">\n<p>Cowboys have internally discussed Brian Urlacher and Jon Vilma, tape watched and evaluated.
