At 6-feet-6 and 250 pounds, Thomas has the ideal size for a quarterback and he can more than help himself with his legs.  <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen you are convinced you have the franchise quarterback, you take him in the first round,\u201d General Manager Steve Keim said. \u201cIf you think a guy can be a franchise quarterback, you take a chance later in the draft.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In Arizona, Thomas will be fighting for the third spot on the Cardinals depth chart behind Carson Palmer and Drew Stanton. <\/p>\n<p>Thomas completed just 55.6 percent of his passes in four seasons at Virginia Tech, with 53 touchdowns and 39 interceptions.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEverybody is basing it on the season, and I understand that\u2019s what\u2019s on film,\u201d Thomas said. \u201cBut this offseason was the chance to really be able to refine some things and I feel really, really good about it.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Logan Thomas in the fifth round of the 2014 NFL Draft and while there was some belief that Thomas could see a position change the Arizona Cardinals currently view him as a quarterback.
