Fred Davis has been suspended indefinitely by the NFL for violating the leagues substance-abuse policy.
About to become a free agent the problem of Davis’ suspension will no longer be that of the Washington Redskins.
Davis, 28, once appeared to be a top tight end in the NFL but a torn Achilles tendon and now suspensions have kept him off the field. He was a seldom used part on a bad Redskins team last season. He appeared in 10 games but caught just seven passes for 70 yards and a touchdown.
