On Friday former first overall pick JaMarcus Russell will work out for the Chicago Bears, according to ESPN Chicago. Russell has lost 50 points in recent months as he hopes to get back into the NFL.

Russell will be one of four quarterbacks that work out for the Bears on Friday.

After the weight loss, Russell weighs a reported 265 pounds. That weight is right inline with when he was drafted first overall by the Raiders in 2007.

Currently the Bears have three quarterbacks on the roster in Jay Cutler, Josh McCown and Matt Blanchard.

Russell is said to be open to signing with a team with a veteran leader and would also consider the CFL.

In three seasons with the Raiders Russell made $39 million while completing just 52.1 percent of his passes. Russell threw 18 touchdowns and 32 interceptions with the Raiders and had a passer rating of 65.2.
