Paul Kruger has signed a five-year contract with the Cleveland Browns. Kruger was a pivotal part of the Baltimore Ravens Super Bowl winning team last season.
Kruger’s deal with the Browns is worth $41 million with $20 million of it guaranteed.
The deal stacks up well for the four-year veteran who has recorded 15.5 career sacks. It was assumed for weeks that the Browns would target Kruger and only Indianapolis was considered a serious competitor for his services.
In Cleveland, Kruger will line up opposite Habaal Sheard in the Browns 3-4 defense.
Cleveland is comfortable under the cap so all signs point to them landing another player or two before the draft.
