The Indianapolis Colts did not have Donald Thomas for much of last season due to a torn quad. After the left guard re-tore his quad in Wednesday’s practice it appears they could be without him for the entire 2014 season.

Thomas was signed to a four-year contract extension worth $14 million in March of 2013.

Losing Thomas, who was projected to be the Colts starter at left guard, will have an impact on the teams run game. It now means that secound-round pick Jack Mewhort will have to jump into the teams plans this season.
