Adrian Peterson was suspended for almost the entire 2014 NFL season. While the Minnesota Vikings had stated in the past that they would consider bringing back the former All-Pro running back once he was reinstated to the NFL it is starting to appear that the two sides will instead part ways.

CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora reports that Peterson’s agent Ben Dogra had be to separated from a member of the Vikings front office following a heated verbal altercation during the NFL combine. The Vikings have refused to release any details on this matter.

Peterson is signed though the 2017 season by the Vikings with a $13 million salary to be paid during the 2015 season. However it is said that Peterson has lost his trust in the team and now would prefer to play elsewhere as he returns from child abuse charges.

“He will never play another game for the Vikings,” said one person close to the player. “It’s over.”

The 29-year-old Peterson has spent his entire NFL career with the Vikings.
