The Patriots will start Tom Brady but many of their skill players will be on the bench in Sunday’s game against the Bills.

With the No. 1 seed and home field advantage locked up though the playoffs the Patriots are playing it safe. And even though Brady will start it is widely known that Jimmy Garoppolo will see some action in the game as well.

Brady may only play the first two series of the game which would gie Garoppolo plenty of time to play though without Rob Gronkowski and Julian Edelman it is fair to wonder exactly what he can do against a Bills secondary which has been stout all year.

Garoppolo impressed in the preseason completing 46-of-79 passes for 618 yards (7.8 YPA), five touchdowns, and one interception.

Things are different for the Broncos who are trying to secure the No. 2 spot.

The Broncos need a win against the Raiders in order to be the AFC’s other team to earn a bye. Fortunately for the Broncos is that they get the Raiders at home. Even that being said the Broncos are taking no chances starting Peyton Manning, C.J. Anderson and the rest of their skill players. This is just a normal game for them and they will use the bye week to heal.
