Shaun Hill back as starter of Rams

Austin Davis’ turn as the starter of the St. Louis Rams is over. The rookie has been benched by the team who will return Shaun Hill to the starters role.

Davis did some nice things early during his stint as the Rams starter but once defenses adjusted he crumbled. Davis has tossed four pick-sixes and two fumble-sixes across eight starts. After an awful fourth quarter against Arizona it has become clear that Davis is nothing more than a back-up and a low end one at that.

With Davis on the bench the Rams will start Hill in Week 11 against Denver. Hill briefly was the quarterback of the Rams this season lasting just one half before leaving with a thigh injury. The 34-year-old is little more than a backup himself but the Rams needed to do something.
